The American Cornhole Organization has established ambitious objectives for 2009:
Identify and contract key corporate sponsors to help enhance the sport’s credibility while promoting the sport on a national level.
Bring American Cornhole to ESPN or another cable sports network. We plan to establish our rightful spot in the American conscience, shoulder-to-shoulder with darts, poker, and paintball.
Promote our close working relationship with the producers of “Cornhole: the Movie,” a film comedy coming soon.
Continue to develop the ACO Pro Tour. Targeting ten events or more in 2009 that will exceed $100,000 in total purse.
Launching the CornyForty money list starting the year with a guaranteed minimum purse of $10,000.
Build on the foundation of the ACO’s Cornhole Masters Series which includes six national events in 2009:
January 23 & 24 – ACO U.S. Nationals & King of Cornhole February 28 – IceHole Classic May 2 – Cornhole de Mayo July 18 – Maize Kraze September 19 – Cornhole Classics November 28 – TurkeyHole Classic
The launch of FantasyCornhole.com summer of 2009.
Build upon American Cornhole Charity Classic and establish the American Cornhole Foundation.
Launch the Classic Series boards first quarter 2009.
Launch the new ACO handicap system summer of 2009.
Help Paul Nelson realize his dream of releasing his documentary on the game of bags vs. cornhole
Develop a program placing cornhole in schools across America.
Continue to develop the online tournament and league management application
Build upon the 2008 fourth quarter launch of CornholePlayers.com promoting the build out of “Places to Play” and “Tournaments to Play” making it the best cornhole resource for players on the internet.
Continue to fine tune the Campus Champ program for nationwide launch 2010.
Develop and launch the Boards4Troops program summer of 2009.
Continue to establish and conjoin the country’s best network of independent representatives to expand the American Cornhole team.
